3 months ago our lives changed forever when this sweet baby was born! My friend Kirsten stayed with us for 12 hours to take these photos & I will cherish them forever – even if some of them are hard to look at. The labor and delivery process was no fun. 0/5 stars. Would not recommend. I will spare you the details (most of which I truthfully don’t remember!)
When Mav finally made his grand entrance he narrowly avoided a trip to the NICU so the first time I saw my baby was a photo on someone’s phone. He was SO swollen and he looked so pitiful I remember thinking I would NEVER post photos of how he looked, but here we are…
My mother in law waited 10 years for us to give her a grandchild! She was in the room when he was born. That picture on the right looks like Mav lost a bar fight. Kirsten on the left, she deserved some baby snuggles. My legs probably weighed 100 pounds each and prior to taking photos she had to hold one up. For 4 hours. Keith and our sweet nurse Jill! MimiMimi & Nana prayed for and loved this sweet boy from the minute they found out we were pregnant!Keith took Maverick’s announcement photo. I had to stay in bed for a day and a half after he was born! I remember people asking us to post his announcement photo so they could share their photos on facebook. We actually used an iPhone photo that Keith snapped because he caught Mav smiling. The following photos make me wish I had hired a photographer. I went into L&D thinking I’d have a “normal” delivery and be able to take photos myself. Thankfully our friend’s Miranda and Justin came to visit and Miranda helped me get some images with all 3 of us in them! I would absolutely do it all again for the sweet baby we got out of the experience, but I am so glad that I don’t have to! We love you Maverick and can’t wait to watch you grow!
