The Ribault Club is one of my favorite wedding venues. It’s the epitome of southern charm and I was so happy when Summer contacted me about her wedding there! Over the last several years every time I have been contacted about a wedding at The Ribault I was already booked. It was fate that Summer and Luke’s wedding would be the first one we ever shot there! Summer’s great grandparents were the historians for Kingsley Plantation so there was so much sentiment in them choosing The Ribault for their venue.
Summer & Luke were the sweetest hostesses on their wedding day. They made sure their guests were so well taken care of. Summer’s family is in the shrimping business, so the southern food being dished out at their wedding was the best wedding food we have ever had! I mean shrimp & grits!! There were so many personal touches included throughout the day. The bride’s brother officiated the ceremony and Summer’s bouquet was wrapped in handkerchiefs that belonged to Luke’s mother, one that has been passed down – it was carried by her aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a napkin that was her great-grandmother’s from her historian days. She wore a ring that belonged to Luke’s grandmother. Luke’s brother definitely wins funniest speech we have heard this year! We seriously may never be able to shoot a wedding there again because Luke and Summer’s was so perfect.
Summer and Luke, Thank you for letting us be a part of your day. We loved every minute of it. Your families were so kind to us and your bridesmaids and groomsmen were a joy to be around. Keith may have a small man-crush on Luke now that he knows about the airboat! We hope you enjoy reliving your day through these images!
