I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was when Ryan contacted me about this session. I was picked to be their photographer by total fluke. Ryan had purchased a photo session from another photographer for Donovan and given it to her on Christmas Day. That photographer had to cancel the shoot due to weather and was unable to reschedule. Ryan reached out to another photographer who was out of town that weekend and referred them to me. Like I said, total fluke! Ryan explained to me that it was so important this session be done because he was moving soon. Oh and by the way, he was planning to propose! We scheduled the session and hoped for the best with the weather.
The day of the session Donovan showed up with her nails freshly painted – another gift for a manicure. Can you tell that Ryan really thought of everything! He knew that Donovan was going to be showing off a ring very soon! The images I captured were some of the most natural and candid moments. I didn’t really pose them, I simply kept setting them up for opportunities for Ryan to propose and when he did I would be lying if I didn’t say that I wasn’t on top of the world right there with them! It was so cold, windy and dreary that afternoon, but their love warmed the day right up!
So Donovan and Ryan, here’s to both of you and a lifetime of love and happiness! And here is the proposal video that my assistant/a-sister-tant Hannah shot and Keith edited!
Great job, Brittany. Beautiful work and capturing of all the closeness and emotions. And, the cold doesn’t even show. 🙂 –at one of my favorite places. So perfect and pretty.
